An enriched seaweed extract
AscoPad is a fertilizer supplying macro and micro nutrients in combination with
seaweed extract, humic and fulvic acids and other biostimulants. AscoPad is produced
to enhance the yield and quality of field crops, orchards and ornamentals. This
is achieved through a range of beneficial properties as sociated with this biostimulant
which interact directly with the biologic system of the plant. The constituent Fucoidan
and Laminarin protect the plant against pathogenic disease and abiotic stress since
they activate a Phytoalexin response, which is one of the major mechanisms of plant
defense. Oligoalginates stimulates prebiotic activity in the rhizosphere resulting
in an increase in the population of beneficial soil bacteria, which improves the
bioavailability of nutrients to the plant.
